43) Gardening tips at dry, sunny, warm weather

During dry, warm summers it’s hard to sow in the garden soil, to have seeds germinating, to keep plants alive and to have them grow bigger.

Make sure;

  • that the garden earth around seeds or plant roots stays moist (doesn’t dry out),
  • that added (sprayed on) water or rain water reaches the seeds or plant roots.

Below my recommendations for the next vegetables or groups of vegetables;

  • Strawberries
  • Beans
  • Lettuce
  • Kohlrabi
  • Other cabbage plants
  • Leek
  • Tomato, (sweet) peppers, zucchini, pumpkin
  • Onions
  • Root crops (carrots, beetroots, chicory, radish)
